Kisker, Deppe Have Record Breaking Performances to Propel Lehigh in Patriot League Championships

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The Mountain Hawks competed in day three of the 2026 Patriot League Championships on Friday at the United States Naval Academy. Lehigh will enter the final championship day in sixth place with 374 points.
Chase Bearley opened the night with a 22nd place finish in the 100 yard butterfly C Final. He swam a personal best 49.61-second race, earning three points.
All three Lehigh swimmers in the 400 yard individual medley reached the finals. They were led by sophomore Jack Deppe, who broke his fourth school record of the meet. He touched in 3:51.97, taking sixth overall in the Patriot League and scoring 24 points for the Mountain Hawks. First-year TJ Hayes swam a personal best in the morning session to make the B Finals, breaking the four minute mark for the first time (3:59.56). He swam 4:00.79 in the finals to place 15th, getting 12 points. Andrew Takach also broke the four minute mark for the first time in his college career in the C Final. The first-year touched in 3:57.00 as the C Final runner-up, placing 18th overall and adding seven points to Lehigh's total.
The Mountain Hawks had four swimmers score points in the 200 yard freestyle. Sophomore Frankie Prekop led the way in the B Final placing 12th. He swam a new collegiate best to score 15 points. Touching in 1:38.69. Sophomore Will Moon paced two other Mountain Hawks in the C Final at 1:39.49, he placed second in that race and 18th overall. First-year Braeden Roach and sophomore Davis Woerner were close behind in 19th and 20th, with Roach finishing in 1:39.75 to Woerner's 1:40.00.
First-year Spencer Ridge broke his personal record in the C Final of the 100 yard breaststroke, bringing it down to 55.69. He was the runner up in that race, taking 18th overall and the seven points that comes with it.
Ben Kisker swam his way into the B Final in the 100 yard backstroke with a new school record of 48.55. The senior placed 11th overall, swimming 48.79 and raising Lehigh's score by 16 points. Sophomore Tristan Ronayne and first-year Sam Skibo also scored points in that event after reaching the C Final. Ronayne swam 49.84, earning seven points by placing 18th. Skibo placed 22nd, swimming 50.59 and scoring three points
Lehigh finished fifth in the final event of the day, the 200 yard freestyle relay. The team of Bearley, Woerner, Deppe, and Aaron Williams finished in 1:20.37.
Tomorrow's events will begin with preliminaries at 10 a.m., followed by finals at 6 p.m. All Patriot League Championships sessions will be aired on ESPN+.
