Women's Tennis to Compete at West Point Invite this Weekend

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh women's tennis team returns to the courts this weekend as the 2016 fall schedule continues with the West Point Invite hosted by Army West Point.
The three-day tournament will begin on Friday and wrap up on Sunday with matches to be played at the Malek Tennis Center.

The Mountain Hawks began the 2016 fall slate last weekend at the Moore Invitational hosted by Navy.
Freshman Sibel Can had a strong collegiate debut as she reached the finals in the flight A singles bracket and teamed up with sophomore Grace Lin to reach the championship match in the flight A doubles bracket.
Junior Kirstin Godau battle back from an early loss to win two-straight matches and capture the consolation bracket title in flight C singles. Freshman Leigh Friedman also had a solid showing in her collegiate debut as she went 3-1 on the weekend and advanced to the championship final in the flight D singles bracket.
Following the West Point Invite, the Mountain Hawks will open their fall home schedule with the Lehigh Invitational on Oct. 1-2.
