Lehigh Defeats Fairfield in Orlando

ORLANDO, Fla. - Thursday morning, Lehigh won five of six singles matches to defeat Fairfield, 5-2. With the win, Lehigh improves to 4-10 on the season, while Fairfield drops to 2-8.

"Today was a battle on every court," said head coach Sophia Geier. "I'm really proud of how the team stayed tough in the big moments. We've been close in a few matches this season, so it's great to finally reward ourselves with a hard-fought win."

The match began with Fairfield winning the doubles point, thanks to wins on courts one and two.

On Court 1, Maggie Forkner set the tone with a 6-3, 6-3 win over Sophia Harris. Lena Dogadalski followed with another strong performance on Court 2, defeating Victoria Mandma 6-2, 6-2.

Alina Shyani added to the Mountain Hawks' momentum on Court 4, earning a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Lilana Malinowski.

Two Mountain Hawks battled their way through a pair of three-set thrillers. On Court 5, Ronit Khromchenko defeated Sarah Liu 6-3, 4-6, 1-0, while Alice Ann Pantsari rallied after dropping the opening set to defeat Maeve Cassidy 1-6, 6-4, 1-0 on Court 6, helping seal the 5-2 team win.
