WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Lehigh women's tennis team completed its second weekend of fall competition with a trip to the West Point Invite hosted by Army West Point on Sunday.

In the A singles draw, No. 2 seed Sibel Can finished with a 2-1 record and reached the semifinal round. The freshman lost to Michelle Eisenberg of Binghamton who went on to win the A singles bracket. Junior Christina Auyeung also competed in the A singles draw and finished with a 1-1 record on the weekend.

Competing in the B singles draw, Grace Lin lost her first match and moved to the consolation bracket. From there, the sophomore went on to collect three-straight wins, including a victory the consolation final. Junior Briana Maravich finished with a 1-1 record on the weekend in the B singles bracket.

In the C singles draw, senior Cassidy Cruz went 2-1 on the weekend and reached the quarterfinals, while senior Jamie Campisi finished with a record of 1-1.

In the D singles draw, freshman Leigh Friedman garnered the No. 7 seed and finished the weekend with a 2-1 record and an appearance in the quarterfinals. Junior Kirstin Godau entered as the No. 8 seed and went 1-1 on the weekend.

The pairing of Godau and Friedman teamed up to compete in the B doubles draw. The two went 4-1 on the weekend and captured the consolation title. The tandem of Maravich and Cruz finished with a 1-1 record in B singles and lost to the third-seeded Army pairing of Genevieve McCormick and Danna Funaro who reached the finals.

In the A doubles draw, the pairing of Auyeung and Campisi finished with a record of 1-1, while Can and Lin finished the weekend 0-2.

The Mountain Hawks will return to the courts on Saturday to begin the two-day Lehigh Invitational held on the Ulrich Varsity Courts.
