Mountain Hawks Claim Titles at Lehigh Invitational

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh women's tennis team concluded play at the three-day Lehigh Invitational hosted by the Mountain Hawks at the Lewis Tennis Center.
Lehigh swept the C singles bracket as senior Cassidy Cruz took home the title in the main draw with a 3-6, 7-5, 10-1 victory in the final match to finish 3-0. Fellow senior Jamie Campisi claimed the consolation title with an 8-4 victory in the final match to finish the weekend 2-1.
Junior Kirstin Godau advanced to the championship match of the D singles draw where she fell in three sets. The junior finished the weekend 2-1.
In A singles, junior Christina Auyeung finished with a 1-1 record and freshman Sibel Can went 0-1 after a fist round bye.
Competing in B singles, Briana Maravich posted a record of 1-1 and Grace Lin went 0-1 after getting a pass in the first round.
The pairing of Godau and Leigh Friedman finished with an unblemished record of 3-0 and captured the B doubles title on a 6-2 victory in the final match. Auyeung and Campisi finished 2-1 in A doubles and advanced to the finals. Can and Lin also competed in A doubles and finished 1-1.
The women will return to the courts on Oct. 15-16 on their home courts for the Patriot League Kickoff.
