Swimming and Diving Teams Named Scholar All-America

BETHLEHEM, Pa - The Lehigh men's and women's swimming and diving programs have both been named Scholar All-America teams by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA).

The prestigious Scholar All-America Award is presented to teams who maintain a grade-point average of 3.0 or higher during the Fall 2015 semester. Nationwide, 547 teams representing 354 different institutions from across the NCAA, NAIA and NJCAA were honored with the award this year. This is an increase of 40 teams from last year's fall total. In total, 61% of all women's college swimming and diving teams made the list, while 43% of men's teams were recognized.

The Lehigh men made the list after accumulating a 3.19 team GPA, while the women came in with a 3.12 GPA. This marks the second semester in a row the two teams have been honored by the CSCAA after earning the honor last spring for the first time since 2013.

The Mountain Hawks will close out the regular season this Saturday in Philadelphia when they will face off against Drexel.
