Lehigh Sits in Eighth After Day Two of Patriot League Championship

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Lehigh competed in day two of the 2026 Patriot League Championships at the United States Naval Academy on Thursday. The Mountain Hawks exited the day in eighth place with 225 points.
Senior Mairin Ludwig competed in the 500 yard freestyle, the first final of the day. She swam 4:56.22, finishing third in the B Final and 11th overall to score 16 points.
Sophomore Clara Moschella swam her way into the B Final of the 200 yard individual medley in the morning. She touched in a personal record 2:04.79 to place 13th overall and score 14 points for Lehigh.
Off the back of a new personal best, Eliza Johnson fought her way into the A final of the 50 yard freestyle. The first-year again lowered her personal best in the championship race down to 23.33, placing seventh overall and scoring 23 points. First-year Genevieve Cody also earned points for Lehigh, placing 11th with a 23.57-second race.
Junior Kate Whitaker reached the B Finals on the diving board at the one meter height. She placed 15th with a score of 225.05, adding 12 points to the Mountain Hawks' score.
To conclude the day, Lehigh placed eighth in the 400 medley relay. The team of Johnson, Cody, Moschella, and Zoe Davies swam 3:44.31 to score 44 points.
Tomorrow's events will begin with preliminaries at 10 a.m., followed by finals at 6 p.m. All Patriot League Championships sessions will be aired on ESPN+.
