October 5 Lehigh-Fordham game tabbed for CBS Sports Network

BETHLEHEM, Pa – The Patriot League announced Thursday that the matchup between Lehigh and Fordham at Jack Coffey Field on Saturday, October 5 will be one of two league football games televised nationally on CBS Sports Network. The game will kick off at noon.
This marks the first time that a Lehigh-Fordham matchup will be broadcast on CBS Sports Network. Lehigh has appeared on the network as part of the league's television package in each of the last two years as the Mountain Hawks squared off against Colgate in both instances.
Lehigh will be looking to regain the Patriot League crown, after falling one game short last season, dropping a 35-24 decision at Goodman Stadium to Colgate last November. The Mountain Hawks, coming off of their third consecutive ten win season, came away with a three point win in the last meeting between these two Patriot League foes last September. Jake Peery's 22-yard field goal as time expired was just enough for Lehigh to claim a 34-31 home victory. Fordham is hoping to build off of a 6-5 overall campaign a year ago. The Rams were much improved in year one under head coach Joe Moorhead but will once again be ineligible for the Patriot League title in 2013.
The Mountain Hawks will be looking for their sixth straight win over the Rams.
The remainder of Lehigh's television football package for the 2013 season will be announced at a later date.
In addition to the Lehigh-Fordham tilt, the league's other football game on CBS Sports Network will be played on October 19 when Holy Cross hosts Colgate at Fitton Field.
CBS Sports Network is available across the country through local cable and video providers and via satellite on DirecTV Channel 613 and Dish Network Channel 152. In the Lehigh Valley, CBS Sports Network can be found on Service Electric Dial Position 176.
The Mountain Hawks will open the 2013 season on Saturday September 7 when they host the Blue Devils of Central Connecticut State at Goodman Stadium.
