Lehigh to host fall invitational matches beginning Friday

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh women's tennis team will host the first of two Lehigh Fall Invitational events this weekend on the Goodman Campus. The Mountain Hawks will begin play Friday afternoon with action continuing through Sunday afternoon.
Joining Lehigh on the women's side will be Army, Bucknell, Loyola and Temple.
The invitational is designed so that each team can get a number of singles and double matches played simultaneously. There will be no team scoring.
Lehigh opened its fall season three weeks ago at the Cornell Fall Invitational. Eight individuals saw action on the weekend with senior Jenai Bilimoria, junior Abby Farrell and freshmen Jamie Campisi and Jess Graham posting singles wins.
The Mountain Hawks are set to play Patriot League rival Army in singles and doubles Friday at 3:30 p.m., and then will face Temple on Saturday with doubles starting at 11:30 a.m. followed by the singles matches at 3:30 p.m. The Sunday schedule is still to be determined.
Following this weekend's action, Lehigh will host another invitational October 25-27 on the Ulrich Varsity Courts and inside the Lewis Tennis Center.
