BETHLEHEM, Pa. – For the 17th consecutive year, the Philadelphia Eagles are set to begin training camp on Lehigh University's Goodman Campus. Rookies and select veterans will report to Bethlehem on Sunday, July 22 while all remaining veterans are slated to report to camp three days later. The first full-squad workouts are set for Friday, July 27 as the Eagles will make Lehigh their home for the next three and a half weeks.
Fans can watch Eagles practice on the John C. Whitehead practice fields and get a glimpse of their favorite players for no admission fee. There is free parking throughout the Goodman Campus for the plethora of fans that come throughout the region to watch the camp. In addition to a free view of the Eagles in action, other nearby activities include an autograph tent, activities for children, and the Eagles also offer NFL-style skills tests to fans on the adjacent Lehigh outdoor track.
During their three week stay at Lehigh, the Eagles lift weights in the A. Haigh Cundey Varsity House – Lehigh's strength training center, practice on Lehigh's three natural grass fields, and stay in air-conditioned dormitory rooms. On most days the Eagles will have two practice sessions, a morning walk-through and an afternoon contact practice, and the majority of them are open to the public at no cost. Swarms of Philadelphia and local newspapers, as well as television and radio networks are present to cover the Eagles' activities each day.
