BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh men's tennis team will look to extend its six-match winning streak this weekend with a pair of matches against Stony Brook and Binghamton at the Lewis Tennis Center. The matches will conclude an eight-match home stand for the Mountain Hawks, who are unbeaten at home so far in 2012.
The Mountain Hawks posted an impressive pair of 7-0 victories last weekend against Monmouth and Drexel. The team swept all 12 of its singles matches and won five of six doubles matches as Lehigh improved to 6-1 on the season.
After nearly a two-week layoff, Stony Brook enters Friday's match against Lehigh with a 2-2 record. The Seawolves' victories have come against Connecticut and Southern New Hampshire. The two teams last met in 2010 with Lehigh falling 6-1.
Binghamton enters the weekend with a 3-5 record. Their victories have come against Quinnipiac, Bryant, and most recently, a 6-1 win over Lafayette last weekend at Penn State.
Lehigh's match against Stony Brook will take place on Friday at 4 p.m. while the match against Binghamton will be on Saturday at 2 p.m. Both matches will take place inside the Lewis Tennis Center.
