BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Fresh off its bye week, Lehigh heads to Hamilton, N.Y. for its final road game of the regular season as the Mountain Hawks meet the Colgate Raiders in a game that will be televised nationally on CBS Sports Network. Lehigh, which comes in ranked sixth by the FCS Coaches and seventh by the media, saw its five-game winning streak interrupted by the bye week. The Mountain Hawks own the nation's top overall offense and passing offense, with quarterback Chris Lum and wide receiver Ryan Spadola continuing to compile huge offensive numbers.
Colgate is looking to bounce back from a 40-17 league loss at Georgetown last weekend. The Raiders are just 1-4 on the road, but they own a perfect 3-0 mark at Andy Kerr Stadium, where Lehigh hasn't won since 2005.
Senior quarterback Chris Lum has put up some unbelievable statistics as he has led the Mountain Hawks to a 6-1 start. Through seven games, Lum has completed 68 percent of his passes for 2,590 yards and 26 touchdowns. Lum leads the Football Championship Subdivision in passing yards per game, passing touchdowns and total offense, averaging 375 yards per game. The Michigan native tied a school record with six touchdown passes against New Hampshire, and set a new career high with 413 passing yards last time out against Fordham. Lum has passed for at least 300 yards in eight straight games dating back to last season. He owns a 17-5 career record as a starter, including a 16-3 mark over the last two seasons.
Lehigh meets Colgate for the 50th time this afternoon with the Raiders holding a 27-20 lead. There have also been a pair of ties. Lehigh snapped Colgate's three-game winning streak in the series with a 44-14 win last year at Goodman Stadium.
Saturday's game kicks off just after noon from Andy Kerr Stadium in Hamilton, N.Y. The game will be televised live nationally on CBS Sports Network with Dave Ryan and Rich Rodriguez on the call. As part of a long-term agreement, CBS Sports Network is the national television home for Patriot League men and women's basketball, plus men's lacrosse and football. Saturday's game is the second of two Patriot League football contests to air on the network this season.
