Lehigh nets five on women's tennis honor roll

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh placed five student-athletes on the Patriot League’s Academic Honor Roll for women’s tennis, which was announced on Tuesday. Junior Julie Arthofer led the way for the Mountain Hawks with a 3.92 grade point average in the spring semester. To be eligible for the honor roll, a student-athlete must obtain a GPA of 3.2 and earn a varsity letter in his/her sport.
The Mountain Hawks’ lone All-League selection, Arthofer, who majors in economics, leads a list of Lehigh honor roll selections that also includes seniors Ariela Cohen, Ruthie Furman and Allie Schwartz, and junior Stacey Reich.
A total of 35 women’s tennis student-athletes were named to the honor roll, led by Lafayette’s Sarah Sykes, who was voted as the league’s Scholar-Athlete of the Year back in May.
