Player Profile: As a junior … earned eleven singles wins including two Patriot League wins (Holy Cross, Lafayette) … went 1-0 at both second and third doubles as well as 8-11 at first doubles defeating two patriot league opponents (Holy Cross and Lafayette) … As a sophomore … won three matches at sixth singles to go along with five overall doubles victories in her first season …In secondary school … Four year first team all-state selection…first team all-division… 2002 Rhode Island state singles champion… led school to two division championships and one state title… ranked in the top 20 in USTA New England 18-and-under rankings… competed for team USA in the 17th World Maccabiah Games.
Personal: Daughter of Martin and Robyn Furman… brother Michael (24) and sisters Rachel (21) and Deborah (17)… enjoys skiing, volleyball and running… lists Arantxa Sanchez Vicario, Pete Sampras and Anna Kournikova as favorite tennis players.
