After a lengthy layoff, the Lehigh men’s tennis team returns to the courts this weekend, with a pair of critical Patriot League matches. The Mountain Hawks will travel to Navy on Saturday and then will return home to the
Lehigh has been off since an impressive 7-0 shutout of Villanova back on March 21. All eight Mountain Hawks have a winning record in singles play this year, led by junior Alfredo Fernandez-Concha who is 9-2, while junior Ryan Lloyd and sophomore John Nespoli enter this weekend’s matches with identical 9-3 records.

Last year, the Mountain Hawks dropped close 4-3 matches to both teams, as Lehigh just missed qualifying for the Patriot League tournament. Lehigh lost 4-3 to Colgate in
Action gets underway on Saturday when Lehigh travels to Navy. The match gets underway at noon from the USNA Tennis Courts. In case of inclement weather, the match will be moved indoors to the Severn Valley Racquet Club. On Sunday, the Mountain Hawk men return home to face Colgate at 2:00 pm as part of a women’s and men’s doubleheader of tennis versus the Raiders.
