Eagles soar past Mountain Hawks

Washington, DC – Lehigh fell victim to American Sunday afternoon 6-0, dropping its season record to 6-6 overall, 0-2 in Patriot League play, while American improves to 10-2 overall, 3-0 in the league. Due to inclement weather, the action had to be moved indoors and no doubles competition took place, however, the teams were able to play all six singles matches. Lehigh was unable to muster a win, dropping all six matches. At first singles, Tushar Garg defeated Ryan Cann 3-6, 6-1, 6-0. Randall Smalley fell at second singles 7-6, 7-5, and Jonathan Swanson fell at third singles 6-3, 6-1. Also suffering losses for the Mountain Hawks was Craig Ditman, Andrew Shapiro, and Jeff Samules. Lehigh will return to action on Tuesday, April 1 at Bucknell. Match time is 3:00 p.m.
