Reese listed among the nation's best by TSN

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – For the second time this off-season, a Lehigh captain has been named as one of the top performers at his respective position, as senior John Reese is listed as the number three center in the nation in the football championship subdivision (FCS) by the Sports Network. Reese has started every game for the Mountain Hawks over the course of the past two seasons and he joins classmate Sedale Threatt in the Sports Network rankings. Threatt, who enters his senior season with nearly 4,000 total yards to his credit, was listed as the No. 11 quarterback in the country when the rankings were released in late May.

Reese has played a major role along the Lehigh offensive line throughout his career, including the 2006 season when he helped pave the way for the Patriot League’s top offense, which averaged more than 340 yards per game. A two time captain and two time All-League selection, Reese is the only Patriot League center ranked by the Sports Network.

Reese and the Mountain Hawks kick off their 2007 season on Saturday, September 8 when they welcome Atlantic-10 foe Villanova to Goodman Stadium. Kick off is set for just after 1:00.
