Coen announces addition of two to staff

Coen added, “I worked very closely with Mike Kapusta during my days at Penn and I know he is going to be an outstanding coach. He is a real competitor and has a love for the game of football.”
Amundson comes to Lehigh from Rowan University where he served as the assistant defensive line coach in addition to the junior varsity defensive coordinator and the program’s video coordinator. During his time at Rowan, the Profs compiled a record of 30-8, including three appearances in the Division III National Playoffs, and won three New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Championships as well as two ECAC and Lambert Cup Championships. Amundson also served as an assistant coach with Rowan’s baseball program and he was an adjunct professor of psychology at
Amundson graduated from St. Joe’s in 2001 with a bachelors degree in Psychology and he earned his masters in Sport Management from the United States Sports Academy, located in Daphne, Alabama in 2003. While at St. Joe's, Amundson was a member of the ice hockey program, serving as captain during the 2001 season, and he helped lead the Hawks to the Delaware Valley Collegiate Hockey Conference (DVCHC) Championship on two occasions.
“Bob Amundson comes very highly recommended by coaches I really trust,” explained Coen. “Bob has proven during his time at Rowan that he has what it takes to coach and communicate with players.”
The 2006 Patriot League co-Champion Mountain Hawks begin preseason camp in early August and will kick off their 2007 season on Saturday, September 8 versus the Wildcats of Villanova at Goodman Stadium. Kick-off is set for just after 1:00. Season tickets go on sale beginning on June 15 and single game tickets will be available on June 26.
