Philadelphia Eagles set to return to Lehigh campus

In addition to a free view of the Eagles in action, other nearby activities include an autograph tent, activities for children, and the Eagles also offer NFL-style skills tests to fans on the adjacent Lehigh outdoor track. Here, fans can practice kicking a field goal, do a bungie run, or play on a nine-hole miniature golf course.
During their nearly four week stay at Lehigh, the Eagles lift weights in the A. Haigh Cundey Varsity House – Lehigh’s new strength training center, practice on Lehigh’s three natural grass fields and artificial surface, and stay in newly renovated, air-conditioned dormitory rooms. Each day of camp the Eagles have two practice sessions: the first begins at 8:45 am, and the second takes place starting at either 2:00 or 2:45 pm. The Philadelphia Eagles aren’t the only successful football team to hit the Whitehead Practice Fields each August. Since the Eagles began coming to Lehigh for training camp in 1996, Lehigh’s football squad is 87-31, claiming Patriot League titles and NCAA playoff berths in 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001 and 2004. The Mountain Hawks own the highest winning percentage in all of Division I-AA football over the last eight years.
