16 named to league's academic honor roll

Bethlehem, PA – Senior Matt Salvaterra – the Patriot League’s Football Scholar-Athlete of the Year – is one of 16 Lehigh players to be named to the Patriot League’s Academic Honor Roll for the Fall 2002 semester. To be eligible, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade point average during the fall semester, and be awarded a varsity letter in one of the league’s seven fall championship sports.
In all, 114 student-athletes qualified for the honor roll in football. Salvaterra earned the league’s top academic honor, posting a 3.47 GPA in the fall. Junior Jared Breidinger led the team with a 3.94 GPA in the fall.
