Mountain Hawks get ready to face Harvard
9/19/2003 12:00:00 AM | Football
Lehigh looks to get back on the right track Saturday as the Mountain Hawks entertain Harvard at Goodman Stadium. Lehigh is ranked 12th nationally following last weekend’s loss at Pennsylvania which ended the Mountain Hawks’ 26 game regular season winning streak.
Meanwhile, No. 24 Harvard is off to a 2-0 start after the Crimson edged Brown in an Ivy League affair. Harvard, which boasts one of the best offenses in all of Division I-AA will go up against a stingy Lehigh defense that has yielded only three fourth quarter points all season.
Harvard leads the all-time series 5-4, and is the last Ivy League team to beat the Brown & White inside Goodman Stadium, winning 35-30 in 1997. Since that season, Lehigh has won 25 straight at home.
The Mountain Hawks and Crimson square off at 1:05 on Saturday. The game can be seen live nationwide, airing locally on Service Electric TV2, and nationally on Fox Sports Net Pittsburgh, available on DirecTV. As always, the action can be heard live on the home of Lehigh football, Oldies 1470 WKAP and on the Lehigh web site at www.lehigh.edu.
