Ranked seventh nationally and first in the Lambert Cup, Lehigh takes on Bucknell in what could amount to the Patriot League Championship game this Saturday afternoon in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. Lehigh enters the game with an 8-0 overall record and a 5-0 league record. Bucknell is 6-2 overall and 4-1 in the league. With a win, the Mountain Hawks will clinch their fourth consecutive Patriot League Championship and earn the League’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
Lehigh owns a 21-game regular season winning streak, longest in the nation, and is 25-4 on the road over the last four seasons. Lehigh could see the return of starting quarterback Brant Hall, who has missed the last two and a half games with a bruised shoulder. Should Hall not be ready to play, backup Luke Ciannello has done a standup job leading the Mountain Hawks to their two biggest wins of the season against Holy Cross and Colgate. Check out the Lehigh game notes for in depth information about this week’s game including a complete injury list. Kickoff is scheduled for 12:30.
