Ranked 10th nationally, Lehigh takes on Central Connecticut of the Northeast Conference on Saturday at Goodman Stadium on Fleet Bank Youth Activity Day. Lehigh enters the game with a 2-0 record and a 15-game regular season winning streak. Lehigh is riding an 18 game home winning streak at Goodman.
Prior to the game Lehigh will hold its annual Youth Activity Day where Student-Athletes will interact with youngsters from the area in different fun and competitive games. The Lehigh cheerleaders will perform face painting and members of several Lehigh teams will participate in the festivities that are being sponsored by Fleet Bank.
The Mountain Hawks are now ranked 10th in both the Sports Network and ESPN/USA Today polls. Lehigh held steady in the Sports Network poll while jumping up one from number 11 in the ESPN/USA Today poll after its 34-10 victory over Princeton last Saturday.
Senior quarterback Brant Hall was named Patriot League offensive Player of the Week for his performance against the Tigers. The senior signal caller rushed for a career high 119 yards and two touchdowns while passing for 213 yards. Hall is the Preseason Offensive Player of the Year in the Patriot League and a candidate for the Walter Payton Award.
