BETHLEHEM, Pa. - For the first time since September 12 Lehigh will play a game away from Goodman Stadium as the Mountain Hawks head to Lewisburg to take on the Bison of Bucknell Saturday afternoon. Both teams enter this weekend’s contest at 1-0 in the Patriot League with wins over Georgetown. The Mountain Hawks are coming off a tough 7-0 loss to Yale last weekend in which they did not surrender an offensive touchdown for the second straight week, while Bucknell is fresh off its bye week and looking for its fifth consecutive win at home.
The last offensive touchdown Lehigh surrendered came with 8:06 remaining in the third quarter of the Harvard contest. That is a span of 143 minutes in which the Mountain Hawks have not allowed an offensive touchdown.
After totaling just six combined take-a-ways in the first five games, Lehigh’s defense picked off a season-best three passes against Yale. It marked the Mountain Hawks’ most take-a-ways since the opener versus CCSU (four) and their most interceptions since picking off three passes versus Cornell a season ago.
Saturday’s game kicks off just after 1:00 from Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium in Lewisburg. There is no television coverage of the game, but it will be broadcast live on ESPN Radio 1230 and 1320 AM as well as Lehighsports.com with pre-game coverage getting underway at noon.
