    Second season
Amy Gulyas enters her second season with the Mountain Hawks as a graduate assistant after serving as a head coach at the Philadelphia Volleyball Academy.

The Allenton native comes to Lehigh from Villanova, where she played volleyball for all four years (2006-09) and earned Big East Academic All-Star honors each season. In 2009, Gulyas finished second on the team with 290 digs, second in service aces (42), third in total attacks (665) and fourth in kills (156). The year prior, Gulyas was second on the squad with 265 total digs and third on the team with 26 service aces.

Gulyas excelled as soon as she stepped on Villanova’s campus, emerging as the team’s starting libero to turn in an excellent freshman year. She played in all 31 matches and appeared in 105 games while ranking second on the team with 277 digs and 2.64 digs per game. She also tallied 47 kills in 186 attempts and had 13 assists, 15 aces and eight blocks for 67 points. Gulyas also spent three summers as a counselor at Villanova University volleyball camp where she coached, coordinated daily drills and evaluated players to present feedback to players and coaches.

While at Villanova, Gulyas earned her Bachelor’s of Psychology and her Elementary Education Certification, Grades K-6.

While manning the sidelines at Lehigh, Gulyas will be working towards her graduate degree in Teaching, Learning and Technology.
