Bio
Why Lehigh? “I really liked the academic value a Lehigh education offers and I thought the campus was amazing. Also, I wanted the opportunity to play Division I tennis at a program that competes for conference titles every year.”
On Coach Hendrix: “He develops really good relationships with his players and he knows how to maximize his players’ ability and potential.”
As a junior: Moved into a starting spot in Lehigh’s lineup with great success, going 11-3 in singles and 5-3 in doubles action…posted a 6-1 singles record in Patriot League play, including a 5-1 mark at the fifth flight…went 2-0 playing at the third flight of doubles against Patriot League opponents…earned wins in singles and doubles in Lehigh’s Patriot League Quarterfinals victory over Colgate.
As a sophomore: Appeared in five singles matches, posting 2-3 record… earned first Patriot League singles win at No. 6 flight against Lafayette… other win came at No. 4 singles, clinching victory over Saint Francis (Pa.)… named to Patriot League Academic Honor Roll with 3.91 spring GPA.
As a freshman: made varsity debut at No. 1 doubles alongside Mark Goldberg in Patriot League play against Army.
In high school: NYSPHSAA Boys Doubles Champion (with twin brother Matt)… Syracuse Sports Corporation “Believe to Achieve” Male Team Award… ranked No. 21 in the Eastern Section in the boys 18 and under division… placed third in doubles at two national 18 and under tournaments in the summer of 2012.
Personal: Son of Mark and Karen Nardella… twin brother Matt and sister Natalie.
