Mark McMaster is in his third season on the Lehigh coaching staff, where he coaches the wide receivers while also serving as the recruiting coordinator.

Lehigh’s 2024 Patriot League championship season saw McMaster work with a young receiver room full of first and second year players. Junior Geoffrey Jamiel, the veteran member of the group, led the way with 60 receptions for 768 yards and eight touchdowns, while sophomore Mason Humphrey developed as a big play threat with 587 yards and five touchdowns on 45 catches. Jamiel garnered second team All-Patriot League recognition.

In his first season, McMaster’s wide receiver group was led by Connor Kennedy who enjoyed a breakout season, leading the Mountain Hawks in receptions, yards and touchdowns. Jamiel had another strong year while Dylan McFadden and Humphrey emerged as valuable weapons in the passing game.

McMaster came to Bethlehem following two seasons at Yale, including the 2022 season where he served as tight ends coach under then-offensive coordinator Kevin Cahill.

Last season, McMaster was part of a Yale offense that led the Ivy League in both scoring and total offense, while also boasting the league’s top rushing attack.

McMaster spent the 2021 season as a defensive quality control coach, assisting with the defensive backs. He also served as a recruiting and football operations intern during the summer of 2020.

Prior to his time at Yale, McMaster spent two seasons at Springfield College, beginning as a defensive backs coach and video coordinator before being promoted to oversee special teams and the safeties.

McMaster also spent time at Lackawanna College in Scranton, Pa., as he joined the team as a wide receivers coach in December of 2017. He added recruiting coordinator and tight ends coach and added pass game coordinator responsibilities for the 2018 season, helping the team to an 11-0 record and an El Toro Bowl Championship.

A 2017 graduate of Misericordia with a bachelor’s degree in sport management, McMaster was a two-year letter winner for the football program and later got his coaching start at his alma mater working with the running backs and wide receivers.
