Mountain Hawks Narrowly Defeated By FDU 4-3

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh men's tennis played host the FDU Knights at the Lewis Indoor Tennis Center on Wednesday evening. The match went down to the wire, but the Knights ultimately came away with a 4-3 win.
Lehigh (4-2) dropped the opening doubles point to FDU (2-5) after falling at numbers two and three. The pair of Sean Jaeger and Alex Van Lumich earned a 6-4 win at number one, setting their doubles record at 4-1 on the season.
The Mountain Hawks got back into the fight to start singles play, earning two set wins from Jaeger and Van Lumich to take a 2-1 lead in the match. The Knights responded with back-to-back wins at numbers three and four, including a three-setter over Benedict Horn-Bourque at number four. Henry Stoller provided a two-set win at number six, making Jackson Morash's match at number five the deciding one. Morash battled to a third set, but FDU's Jorge Alonso-Cortes pulled it out in three to seal the Knights' win.
The Mountain Hawks will host Hofstra at the Lewis Indoor Tennis Center on Saturday, February 28 at 12 p.m.
