Mountain Hawks Defeat Hofstra 6-1 At Home

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh men's tennis hosted the Hofstra Pride at the Lewis Indoor Tennis Center on Saturday afternoon, earning a 6-1 win to claim their fifth win of the season.
Lehigh (5-2) earned the opening doubles point over Hofstra (0-7) after earning wins at number one from Sean Jaeger and Alex Van Lumich as well as a win at number three from Wyeth Anzilotti and Henry Stoller. Ofer Hacohen and Jackson Morash's match at number two was left unfinished.
The Mountain Hawks struck first in singles play courtesy of a two-set victory from Van Lumich at number two. The Pride earned their lone point in the match thanks to a two-set win from Alex Di Fruscia over Jaeger at number one. Lehigh then earned subsequent two-set wins from first-years Henry Stoller and Aleksandar Daskalovic and numbers six and five respectfully to clinch the victory.
Following the clinch, Benedict Horn-Bourque completed a three-set comeback to defeat Enaut Garcia-Beitia at number three. Hacohen earned Lehigh's sixth point of the day with a two-set win at number four to close out the match.
The Mountain Hawks will travel to Monmouth University to face the Hawks on Sunday, March 1 at 6 p.m.
