Mountain Hawks Split Tri-Meet at Iowa

IOWA CITY, Iowa – The Lehigh women's wrestling team competed in a tri-meet hosted by Iowa Sunday at Carver-Hawkeye Arena. The Mountain Hawks' day began with a 32-11 win over Otterbein before Lehigh suffered its first-ever dual meet loss to No. 1-ranked Iowa 37-7.
Audrey Jimenez (110) and Aubre Krazer had 2-0 days for the Mountain Hawks, who are now 14-1 on the dual season.
Lehigh won seven of the nine contested bouts against Otterbein, including four falls. The Mountain Hawks trailed 10-9 after four bouts before Krazer pinned Alicia Coleman in 1:47, giving Lehigh the lead for good. Krazer's win started a 5-0 run for the Mountain Hawks to close the dual. Jimenez pinned Rylee Touhalisky in just 51 seconds, while Cameron Millsapps (160) and Genevieve An (207) also won by fall for Lehigh. There was no bout at 180 as An bumped up to pin Marvet Hejazin in just 20 seconds.
Jimenez posted a 10-0 technical fall in 2:29 over Ava Bayless to tie the dual at 4-4 after two bouts, but Iowa won seven of the eight remaining weight classes. Krazer had an impressive 15-6 win over Karlee Brooks. After giving up the first points, Krazer battled back to take the lead and used a late takedown and a series of leg laces to build what ended as a nine-point advantage.
Iowa's lineup featured several world team members including Kennedy Blades (160) and Kylie Welker (180)
Abbi Cooper (117), Kryssceah Ravenelle (138) and Sydney Thompson (145) also posted technical fall victories for Lehigh in the Otterbein dual.
The Mountain Hawks are back in action next Saturday at the Pennsylvania Collegiate State Championships, hosted by East Stroudsburg, with action beginning at 10 a.m.
The 2025-26 Lehigh wrestling season is presented by the Historic Hotel Bethlehem.
