Cooper Wins Title, One of Three Mountain Hawks to Place at Grand View Open

DES MOINES, Iowa – In its final competition of the regular season, the Lehigh women's wrestling had 10 student-athletes in action Saturday at the Grand View Open. Abbi Cooper won her third open tournament title this season, taking the crown at 117 to lead the way for Lehigh's three place winners. In addition to Cooper's title, Kryssceah Ravenelle and Genevieve An claimed fifth place at 138 and 180, respectively.

Six of Lehigh's 10 entrants won at least one bout Saturday in Iowa.

Cooper went 4-0 with three decisions and a technical fall. In the finals, she defeated Callin Campbell of host Grand View 3-0.

Ravenelle went 5-2 at 138 with her first six matches ending in decisions. She rebounded from a quarterfinal loss to win her next two bouts, securing her podium place. Ravenelle earned a win by forfeit in the fifth place match.

An had a bye into the quarterfinals and finished her tournament at 3-2. She bounced back from the quarterfinal loss with back-to-back technical superiority victories. An closed out her tournament with a 10-0 technical fall over Rihanna Venegas of Grand Valley State.

Mary Manis went 2-2 at 138 and Makynna Loepp went 2-2 competing at 145. Natalia Accorsi went 1-2 up at 131 with a win in a consolation bout.

Also competing for the Mountain Hawks Saturday were Hattie Mack (103), Avery Hines (117), Alexa Ciliotta (124) and Paige De Caro (160).

The Mountain Hawks will return to action at the NCAA Regional 2 meet Feb. 21 at West Liberty University in West Virginia.

The 2025-26 Lehigh wrestling season is presented by the Historic Hotel Bethlehem.
