BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh senior Hamsa Javagal has been named to the Patriot League Women's Tennis Academic All-League Team, as announced Friday afternoon.

Javagal, a Biology major with a 3.8 GPA, earns Academic All-League honors for the first time in her career. She is also a two-time CSC Academic All-District selection.

On the court, Javagal had an impressive season, recording 13 singles wins—the second most on the team—and an 8-7 record in doubles play.

A native of Brentwood, Tenn., Javagal will begin medical school this summer. During her time at Lehigh, she also served as a general physics tutor and an apprentice teacher.

Javagal helped lead the Mountain Hawks to a 12-8 record this season, which concluded with a semifinal loss to Army.
