
Klebe Three-Peats in Outdoor 800m to Lead Women at PLCs

WORCESTER, Mass. - Lehigh junior Abby Klebe won her third consecutive Patriot League outdoor title in the 800m to lead the women's track and field team on the final day of the Patriot League Championships. Klebe's title was one of two podium finishes for the Mountain Hawks Saturday. Lehigh finished the two-day event with four podium finishes, three school records and 15 all-time top 10 additions.

The Mountain Hawks' 67.5 points put them in sixth place. Army scored 215.5 points to take the team title, followed by Boston U. (167) and Navy (157). Bucknell and Holy Cross claimed fourth and fifth place, respectively, ahead of the Mountain Hawks.

MID-DISTANCE/DISTANCE
Klebe became a three-time champion in outdoor and five-time champion overall in the 800m, with her winning time of 2:04.21 breaking her own school record and setting a meet record. She shaved 1.01 seconds off her previous mark set earlier this year. After moving into second place all-time in Friday's preliminaries, senior Svea Wickelgren finished sixth with a finals time of 2:09.24.

Sophomore Hope Trimmer finished 12th in the 1500m with a finals time of 4:50.50.

In the 3000m steeplechase, senior Savanah Beavers finished ninth with a time of 11:05.38. First-year Kaya Meler (11:35.79) finished 14th and sophomore Siri Hellenbrand (11:52.28) took 16th place.

Sophomore Grace Hughes ran 18:06.44 in the 5000m.

SPRINTS/HURDLES
Junior Grace Kennedy finished in third place and improved on her second all-time mark in the 400m hurdles, with a time of 59.63 seconds. First-year Lanae Carrington ran 1:02.83 to finish sixth and move into seventh place all-time.

Senior Shelby Dejana finished seventh in the 100m hurdles with a time of 14.65 after moving up to seventh place all-time in Friday's preliminaries.

Sanders ran a 55.07 in the 400m finals to finish seventh and move into second place all-time.

The Mountain Hawks closed the meet with a third place finish and school record in the 4x400m relay, with Kennedy, Klebe, sophomore Kasey White and Sanders running 3.42.97. The 4x100 relay team finished ninth with a time of 48.03.

Junior Grace Aggen and first-year Emily Kolodziej both threw the discus 47.16m, with Kolodziej improving on her fourth all-time mark at Lehigh and Aggen claiming fifth place in the Patriot League. Aggen also finished 14th in the shot put with an effort of 12.85m.

Senior Izabel Fronc and first-year Anna Troutman both cleared 1.64m in the high jump, with Fronc tying for fifth place and Troutman taking seventh.

In the triple jump, senior Lillian Mauger finished eighth with a jump of 11.67m, tying for fifth place all-time. Junior Grace Nation's mark of 11.54m was good for 10th place and improves on her ninth all-time mark.

Sophomore Corinn Brewer finished eighth with 4482 points to move into eighth place all-time, while first-year Emma Sanford took 10th place with 4367 points. Brewer posted a PR in the high jump (1.46m), while Sanford posted four PRs in her seven events.
