Klebe Breaks Own Record Again, Carrington Moves Up Top 10 List In Two Meet Weekend

PRINCETON, N.J./FAIRFAX, Va. – Junior Abby Klebe clipped more time off her own 800m school record as Lehigh competed at the Princeton Elite Invitational Saturday and also sent athletes to the two-day ECAC Championships. Klebe's school record was one of two all-time top 10 updates for the Lehigh women.

Saturday evening, Klebe bested her own school record, most recently set at the Patriot League Championships by one-hundredth of a second, running 2:04.20 to finish in fourth place and second among college runners. Her time ranks 27th in the East Region.

Junior Laura Reigle began the day Saturday with a runner-up finish in the pole vault, clearing a season-best 4.05m, .01m off her school record. Reigle's finish was tops among college athletes at the meet.

In the throwing events, junior Grace Aggen took third in the shot put (13.93m) and fourth in the discus (44.68m), while first-year Emily Kolodziej finished fifth in the discus with a throw of 42.90m.

First-year Meghan Miller took seventh in the javelin with a throw of 39.65m.

ECAC CHAMPIONSHIPS
Lehigh posted two top-five finishes in the 400m hurdles. Junior Grace Kennedy took second place in 1:01.06, while first-year Lanae Carrington ran 1:02.18 to finish fifth and move into fifth place all-time at Lehigh.

Sophomore Grace Hughes finished 16th in the 1500m with a time of 4:43.53. Junior Amber Barrios ran 2:23.71 to finish 39th in the 800m.

The Mountain Hawks will await the announcement of qualifying athletes for the NCAA East Regional, May 28-31 in Jacksonville, Fla.
