BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh men's lacrosse junior defenseman Richard Checo has been named a 2025 Nike Lacrosse Honorable Mention All-American, as announced Wednesday morning.

This marks Checo's second All-America recognition of the season, following his USA Lacrosse Honorable Mention All-America nod last week.

A standout from Oakton, Va., Checo led all of NCAA Division I men's lacrosse in caused turnovers per game with an impressive average of 3.29. Checo  recorded 48 caused turnovers and collected 40 ground balls this season.

Checo now ranks second in program history with 148 career caused turnovers, just 12 shy of tying Lehigh legend Craig Chick '19, who holds both the school and NCAA Division I record with 160.

Throughout the 2025 season, Checo tallied 12 games with multiple caused turnovers and closed the year with a streak of six consecutive multi-caused turnover performances.
