Lehigh Falls to Bucknell in Bethlehem

BETHLEHEM, Pa. -Â The Lehigh Mountain Hawks fell to the Bucknell Bison 12-11 on Saturday afternoon at the Ulrich Sports Complex. With the loss, Lehigh drops to 2-3 overall and 0-1 in Patriot League play. Bucknell improves to 5-1 overall and 1-0 in the league.
"We weren't good enough on faceoffs or ground balls today," Lehigh head coach Will Scudder said.
First-year Finn Morgan netted a game-high four goals in the loss and added two assists. Luke Breslin followed with three goals for Lehigh.
Kasey Heath made a season-high 15 saves in goal for the Mountain Hawks in the loss.
Bucknell scored the game's first two goals, but Finn Morgan and Luke Breslin each found the back of the net in the first quarter to tie the score 2-2 heading into the second quarter.
After Peter Theodoropoulos gave Lehigh a 3-2 lead, the Bison scored four straight, taking a 6-3 lead into halftime.Â
Michael Meyer, who finished with three goals, scored the opening goal of the second half to extend Bucknell's lead to four.
Lehigh answered with five straight goals to take an 8-7 lead into the fourth quarter. Finn Morgan scored twice during the run, while Andrew Kelly, Luke Winkler and Theodoropoulos each added a goal.
Breslin opened the fourth-quarter scoring to give the Mountain Hawks a 9-7 lead.
Bucknell responded by scoring four of the next six goals to tie the game at 11 with 3:14 remaining. Less than 30 seconds later, Will Hopkins scored the go-ahead goal for the Bison.
Bucknell held off Lehigh over the final two minutes to secure the 12-11 victory.
