McAuliffe Lands on Academic All-Patriot League Team

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Lehigh men's lacrosse's junior defenseman Luke McAulliffe was named to the Patriot League Academic All-League team, as announced Thursday morning by the league. McAuliffe is one of 13 players from the league to be selected.

The Academic All-Patriot League team is made up of 12 individuals from across the league. Due to a tie, there are 13 members on this year's team.

To be eligible for the Academic All-Patriot League Team, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average and be a starter or key player in his/her sport. Freshmen or students in their first academic year at their school are not eligible for the honor. The Academic All-Patriot League team is voted on by the league's sports information directors.

The Sykesville, Md. native holds a 3.56 GPA in management. McAullife is a two-time Dean's List Recipient. McAullife adds to his resume for this season after earning First Team All-Patriot League honors. He ends his season with a career-high 15 caused turnovers and 24 ground balls.

Lehigh's season ended on April 29, with a 12-7 loss to Colgate in the Patriot League quarterfinals.
