BETHLEHEM, Pa. - It's the final dual meet of the regular season for No. 21 Lehigh as the Mountain Hawks welcome Arizona State to Leeman-Turner Arena at Grace Hall Friday night. The Mountain Hawks have won their last four duals and will look to end the regular season on a high note before heading into the postseason. Lehigh will recognize its five-member senior class, featuring Michael Beard, Malyke Hines, Thayne Lawrence, Drew Munch and Owen Trephan. Last week Lehigh rode a fast start to a 22-12 victory at Penn. The Mountain Hawks won the first four bouts, with two technical falls and two ranked wins, to take a 16-0 lead, and then won two of the final three bouts behind decisions by first-year Richie Grungo and sophomore Caden Rogers. Arizona State features the defending NCAA Champion at 125 and a four-time All-American at 285, but has lost seven straight duals.
Â
In addition to Senior Night festivities, Friday's dual will be Lehigh's White Out, with the first 750 fans at Leeman-Turner Arena at Grace Hall receiving a white Lehigh wrestling t-shirt.

Â
No. 22 Lehigh started fast, winning the first four bouts to take a 16-0 lead and then held off a late Penn charge to defeat the Quakers 22-12 Feb. 13 night at the Palestra. Penn followed Lehigh's winning streak by taking three straight bouts, but a tough 10-4 decision by first-year Richie Grungo at 165 gave Lehigh the cushion it needed to defeat Penn for the second straight season. Senior Michael Beard and graduate student Owen Trephan kicked off the dual with back-to-back technical falls to put Lehigh up 10-0 and then junior Sheldon Seymour and first-year Matty Lopes knocked off ranked opponents to put Lehigh up 16-0. Grungo's win over Andy Troczynski at 165 put Lehigh up 19-9 with two bouts remaining and sophomore Caden Rogers closed the dual out with a 2-1 decision over nationally-ranked Maximus Hale at 184.
Â
For the second consecutive week, a Lehigh wrestler claimed EIWA Wrestler of the Week honors, as sophomore 184-pounder Caden Rogers was honored Feb. 17 after knocking off Penn's 20th ranked Maximus Hale 2-1 to close out Lehigh's win over the Quakers. The victory was Rogers' fifth in seven second-semester duals and his second over a ranked wrestler. Rogers defeated Binghamton's Will Ebert back on Jan. 11. His award comes a week after first-year Matty Lopes won EIWA Wrestler of the Week after knocking off Bucknell's nationally-ranked Kurt Phipps 3-2 on Feb. 7 in Lehigh's 29-13 victory over the Bison.
Â
Seven Lehigh wrestlers appear in the latest rankings from InterMat, FloWrestling and WrestleStat, while three are ranked by Amateur Wrestling News and The Open Mat. FloWrestling removed Ryan Crookham from their rankings with Matty Lopes entering the Flo rankings at No. 29. Crookham remains No. 1 at 133 according to InterMat and WrestleStat. Senior Michael Beard (197), junior Sheldon Seymour (125) and graduate student newcomer Owen Trephan (285) are all ranked across the board, with Beard and Trephan ranked in the top 10 by all five outlets.
Â
Arizona State brings a 4-9 dual record into Friday's dual. The Sun Devils have lost seven straight duals, including home losses to Cornell and Oklahoma last weekend. Arizona State has four wrestlers ranked by InterMat, while seven appear in the FloWrestling rankings. Richard Figueroa, ranked No. 2 nationally is the defending NCAA champion at 125, while senior heavyweight Cohlton Schultz is a four-time All-American who is ranked fifth at 285. Jesse Vasquez (149) and Nicco Ruiz (165) are ranked in both polls but are not listed among Arizona State's probable starters. Former U.S. National Team head coach Zeke Jones is in his 11th season as head coach at his alma mater.
Â
Lehigh and Arizona State meet for the 13th time. The Sun Devils have won the last three meetings after Lehigh won the previous six. Three of the last four duals have been decided by five points or fewer. Lehigh has won three of the four duals contested in Bethlehem.
Â
Friday's dual begins at 7 p.m. from Leeman-Turner Arena at Grace Hall. Tickets can be purchased online at LehighTickets.com or by calling the Lehigh Ticket Office at 610-758-4263 during business hours.
Â
Lehigh will shift focus to the 121st EIWA Championships, which the Mountain Hawks will host March 7-8 at Stabler Arena. The Mountain Hawks finished the last two years and had a recent string of four consecutive EIWA team titles from 2018-2021. This year's tournament will have a different look with 12 teams, due to the departure of the six Ivy League schools that will conduct their own tournament and the addition of Morgan State to the EIWA. Conference allocations for the NCAA Championships will be announced next week.
