Why Lehigh?: “I choose to attend Lehigh because of the strong academics along with athletic environment I will be surrounding myself with. I think it’s a place with great people that I can grow and become my most successful self.”
In 2024-25: Posted 10-4 record… moved into starting spot at 133 second semester and represented Lehigh at EIWA Championships… finished fourth at EIWAs… all four losses on season came by a single point… went 4-1 in duals at 133, including ranked wins over Pitt’s Vinnie Santaniello, Bucknell’s Kurt Phipps and Penn’s Ryan Miller… runner up to teammate Sheldon Seymour at 125 at season-opening Princeton Open… had two technical fall victories at Patriot Last Chance Open… EIWA Wrestler of the Week in early February after 3-2 decision over Bucknell’s Kurt Phipps.
In high school: 2023 National Prep champion… two-time National Prep finalist… two-time Beast of the East champion… two-time Journeymen champion.
Personal: Son of Rodrigo and Maria Lopes… older sister Gabriella.
