Why Lehigh?: “I chose Lehigh for the prestigious academics, along with the historic wrestling program.”
In 2024-25: Emerged as postseason starter for Mountain Hawks at 165… went 1-2 at EIWA Championships capping 17-12 season… made dual debut up at 174 against Morgan State… first career dual win came against American’s Kaden Milheim… in January posted fourth place finishes at Bobby Kauffman Memorial Open and David H. Lehman F&M Open… finished with three falls and 11 bonus point wins.
In 2023-24: Posted 6-8 record competing at 149 and then 157… went 2-4 over two countable dates while maintaining eligibility… competed at season-opening Princeton Open at 149 before moving up to 157 for Mat Town Open I… competed unattached at F&M Open and Mat Town Open II… won two bouts in all three tournaments at 157.
In high school: 2023 New Jersey state champion… three-time New Jersey place winner… finished fifth as a sophomore in 2021 and fourth in 2022… 2023 South Jersey Wrestler of the Year.
Personal: Son of Richard and Tiffany Grungo… sister Bella and brother Lucca.
