Lehigh To Kick Off 2025-26 Campaign With NWCA All-Star Classic, Princeton Open

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Opening weekend for the Lehigh men's wrestling team begins with seniors Sheldon Seymour and Max Brignola competing Saturday at the NWCA All-Star Classic at Rutgers' Jersey Mike's Arena, and continues into Sunday with the Mountain Hawks sending a sizeable contingent to the Princeton Open.

Wrestling at the NWCA All-Star Classic begins at 7 p.m. with streaming video on FloWrestling.org.

Seymour, an EIWA champion and All-American last season, will face Eddie Ventresca of Virginia Tech at 125, while Brignola, coming off a deferred eligibility season, will face Stanford's Hunter Garvin at 165.

The NWCA All-Star Classic will begin with four women's freestyle matches, followed by a matchup of Division II vs. Division III wresters. When the Division I men's matches begin, Seymour's bout with Ventresca will be fourth in the match order and Brignola's match versus Garvin will be sixth.

At the Princeton Open, wrestling begins at 9 a.m. from Jadwin Gym in New Jersey. Princeton will have 12 mats of wrestling action. Streaming video will be available on ESPN+ while brackets and live scoring can be found on FloArena.

The Mountain Hawks came in at No. 8 in the NWCA Top 25, unveiled earlier this week.

Next weekend, Lehigh will compete at Journeymen WrangleMania, Nov. 8 at Liberty High School, where the Mountain Hawks will wrestle duals against Duke (1:30 p.m.) and Virginia (3:30 p.m.). On Sunday, Nov. 9 the Mountain Hawks will compete at the Journeymen Collegiate Classic round-robin event at Freedom High School.
