Lehigh Suffers First League Loss at Navy

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Senior Anushka Dania picked up the lone point for Lehigh women's tennis in the 6-1 loss to Navy Saturday morning in Annapolis. The Mountain Hawks dropped to 10-4 (1-1 PL), and Navy improved to 18-5 (2-0 PL).Â
Playing at the No. 5 singles spot, Anushka Dania won the first set 6-4 against Anna Jordaan, lost the next set 7-6 and was able to clinch a point for Lehigh with a 10-5 victory in the final set.
The Midshipmen clinched the doubles point after winning 2-of-3 matches. First-year Maggie Forkner and Allyce Gaborik won the lone doubles match for the Mountain Hawks after defeating Sia Chaudry and Samantha Johns 6-4.Â
The Mountain Hawks will host Senior Day on Sunday against Colgate at 12 p.m. at the Lewis Indoor Tennis Center.Â
