Lehigh Visits Navy Saturday, Hosts Colgate Sunday on Senior Day

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Lehigh women's tennis prepares for two Patriot League matches this weekend as the Mountain Hawks visit Navy on Saturday before hosting Colgate on Sunday on Senior Day. The Navy match is slated to begin at 11 a.m., while the Colgate match will begin at 12 p.m. at the Lewis Indoor Tennis Center. Prior to Sunday's match, seniors Anushka Dania and Megha Dania will be recognized.Â
The Mountain Hawks are on a two-match win streak after going 2-1 in their spring break matches. Lehigh last played on March 12, defeating Holy Cross 4-0 in the Patriot League opener. The Mountain Hawks are 10-3 this season and need just one win this weekend to match the most wins since the 2017-18 season, where they finished 11-10.Â
Megha Dania was outstanding in the match against the Crusaders, losing just one game in singles at the No. 4 spot. Megha owns an 8-2 mark in singles play. Megha and Anushka Dania have also been strong in doubles play, as the two are 9-3 this season. First-year Maggie Forkner also only lost one game in singles at the No. 2 spot. Forkner clinched the win for Lehigh over Holy Cross.Â
Navy is 16-5 after winning its last three matches. The Midshipmen last played on March 13, where they went 2-0 with a 4-0 victory over Marist and a 7-0 victory over Marquette. Colgate is 8-7 this season. The Raiders last competed on March 16, defeating Holy Cross 5-2 to pick up the first league win of the season.Â
Last season, the Mountain Hawks suffered a 7-0 loss to Navy and a 4-3 loss to Colgate.Â
Following this weekend's matches, Lehigh will head to Baltimore, Md,. to face Loyola on March 29 at 3 p.m.Â
