Lehigh Pulls out Convincing 6-1 win over Stonehill

EASTON, Mass. - Lehigh women's tennis pulled out a convincing 6-1 victory over Stonehill Monday morning. The Mountain Hawks are now 9-3, and the Skyhawks are 2-14.
For the 10th time this season, the Mountain Hawks won the doubles point. Maggie Forkner and Allyce Gaborik lost 6-3, but Anushka Dania and Megha Dania picked up a 6-1 victory and Audrey Harrington and Hamsa Javagal improved to 9-1 in doubles play with a 6-2 win.
Lehigh continued its strong play into singles as the Mountain Hawks won 4-of-5 matches. Megha Dania had a dominating win on the No. 3 court, giving up just one point after winning the first set 6-0 and the next set 6-1.
Anushka Dania bested Camila Zuluaga Rodrigiuez 6-2 in both sets. Javagal clinched the win for the Mountain Hawks on the No. 1 court as she bested Madison Warren 6-4, 6-0.
Hannah Letzer defeated Jenna Gufstason 6-2, 6-1 at the No. 5 singles spot, and Giselle Vlassis picked up her third win at the No.6 singles spot with 6-0, 6-2 win over Lindsay MacDonald.
Gaborik won the first set 6-2, lost the next set and battled back in the third set after being down 6-0, but she lost 10-7 in the final set.
The Mountain Hawks will open up Patriot League play at Holy Cross on Tuesday at 2:30 p.m.
