BETHLEHEM, Pa. – After welcoming 17 student-athletes during the early signing period in December, the Lehigh football program announced the addition of 15 more student-athletes to the program on Wednesday. The newest additions to the program bring Lehigh's class of 2028 up to 32 members.
"We are thrilled to announce our 2024 class," Lehigh head coach Kevin Cahill said. "When we were hired here, we said our focus would be prospects that truly value Lehigh University and everything it has to offer. This class is filled with student-athletes that want to develop into better people. Through our experiences we've learned that motivated people tend to work harder and go further. We look forward to developing this class to meet the potential that they have. The Mountain Hawks got better today."
The newest members of the incoming class cover a variety of position group, highlighted by six linemen (three defensive, two offensive and one who could figure on either side of the ball), four defensive backs (two cornerbacks and two safeties) and two ride receivers. This February signing class also includes a running back, an athlete and a long snapper.
Seven of the new signees are from Pennsylvania, including a pair of Lehigh Valley products in Nolan Coen (Parkland) and Colby Reph (Northampton). Lehigh has also brought in a pair of student-athletes from both California and Texas. Georgia, Maryland and New Jersey are also represented while athlete Brady Fisher is from Rhode Island and prepped at Suffield Academy in Connecticut.
Coen is the son of the late former Lehigh head coach, and 2023 Lehigh Athletics Hall of Fame inductee Andy Coen, while long snapper Connor Ludwig is the son of former Lehigh offensive lineman and long snapper Michael Ludwig '00, who was a member of Lehigh's 1998 and 1999 Patriot League championship teams.
The Mountain Hawks will now shift focus to spring practice which will begin in mid-March.
