
Lehigh Welcomes Wofford To Ulrich Sports Complex On Sunday

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Coming off a thrilling 8-7 win over Jacksonville last weekend, Lehigh returns home at 1 p.m. on Sunday to play host to Wofford.

Senior goalkeeper Hayley Hunt was named Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week following her effort of 16 saves, two caused turnovers and one ground ball in Lehigh's first win of the 2024 season.

Offensively, graduate student Emma Eberhardt led the charge with a hat trick, leading to Patriot League honorable mention nods. Senior Olivia Memeger and graduate student Gabby Schneider chipped in two goals apiece, while graduate student Cassie Marte contributed one goal. Marte earned three draw controls in the victory, placing herself only 45 away from Lehigh's career record.

The Terriers are 1-1 this season, dropping a 21-5 contest versus Coastal Carolina and defeating Stetson 20-19 last weekend. Junior Bria Foley leads Wofford offensively with eight goals and nine assists, compiling nine points. Junior Carley Irvin ranks second in scoring, netting six goals in the young season. Wofford finished 7-10 including a 17-1 loss to Lehigh on Feb. 18.

The Mountain Hawks' 17-1 victory last season was the first meeting between the teams, giving Lehigh a 1-0 advantage in the all-time series. Eberhardt (four goals, one assist), Memeger (four goals, two assists), Schneider (one goal, four assists), junior Casey O'Connor (three goals) along with Marte (one goal) and senior Emma Fiore (one goal) contributed to Lehigh's dominant win over the Terriers.
