Mountain Hawks Complete First Spring Tournament

LAKE WORTH, Fla. – The Lehigh women's golf team closed out its spring-opening tournament with a final round 314, Tuesday as the Mountain Hawks finished The Atlantic Invitational with a final total of 932 (304-314-314).
Junior Madison Pineda delivered the low round of the 54-hole tournament for the Mountain Hawks, shooting two over par 73 on Tuesday. Pineda's final round included 14 pars, a birdie and three bogeys. She tied with senior Venecia Zaia as the low Mountain Hawks, tying for 22nd place at 232 (76-83-73).
Zaia shot 81 Tuesday with one birdie to go with rounds of 76 and 75 in Monday's opening 36 holes.
First-year Stefania Fedun shot a final round 79 to tie for 24th place at 234 (78-77-79).
Sophomore Yuki Zhu had the low round Monday with a 74. She led Lehigh on Tuesday with three birdies in a final round 81 as she tied for 29th place at 237 (74-82-81).
First-year Olivia Lu carded a pair of birdies in a final round 83 and tied for 36th place at 246 (83-80-83).
Competing as an individual, first-year Bella Scanapicco shot 248 (78-85-85) and finished in 39th place. Scanapicco made one birdie in her final round.
Arkansas State cruised to the team title at 10 over par 862 (284-290-288), 35 strokes better than runner-up Quinnipiac.
Marshall's Emily McLatchey and Madison Tenore of Arkansas State tied for individual honors at one under par 212. McLatchey had the low round on Tuesday at one under par 70.
Next up for the Mountain Hawks will be the Georgia State Invitational, March 25-26 in Johns Creek, Ga.
