Mountain Hawks Wrap-Up Play at MSU SoCal Spring Invitational

CAMARILLO, Calif. – Lehigh women's golf wrapped up its spring break trip to California with the final round of the MSU SoCal Spring Invitational Tuesday at Sterling Hills Golf Club. The Mountain Hawks shot a final round 314 to finish the three-day, 54-hole event at 920 (304-302-314). Lehigh finished 11th out of 15 teams.
Sophomore Alana Hall led the way for Lehigh finishing at 228 (72-76-80) and tying for 35th place. Hall's opening round 72 was the low round of the tournament for the Mountain Hawks.
Two strokes behind Hall was sophomore Reese Hannon, who tied for 42nd place at 230 (75-73-82). Hannon carded one birdie in her final round.
Tuesday's low round for Lehigh was turned in by first-year Bridget Yu, who shot 73 to move into a tie for 52nd place at 232 (83-76-73). Yu had one birdie and 14 pars in her final round.
Junior Stefania Fedun tied for 61st place at 235 (79-77-79). Fedun's final round included one birdie.
First-year Alisia Ren finished in 70th place at 238 (78-77-83). Ren also made one birdie in her final round.
Nebraska won the team title at 862, with the Cornhuskers beating Notre Dame by 13 strokes.
The individual medalist was Notre Dame's Alexsandra Lapple, who finished at three under par 210 and beat Nebraska's Lauren Thiele by one stroke.
Lehigh will be back in action when it hosts the Bermuda Triangle Intercollegiate, March 30-31 in Southampton, Bermuda.
