Hannon Named Patriot League Women's Golfer of the Week

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh junior Reese Hannon has been named Patriot League Women's Golfer of the Week, the league announced on Wednesday. Hannon made a chip-in birdie on the final hole of the Lehigh Invitational Tuesday at Trump National Golf Club that lifted both her and the Mountain Hawks to championships.

Hannon was the individual medalist at seven over par 151 (77-74), carding an eagle in Monday's opening round and the birdies in two of her last four holes on Tuesday. The final-hole birdie gave Hannon a one stroke victory over Elizabeth Ryu of Rutgers and lifted Lehigh to a one stroke win over Fairfield for the team title as the Mountain Hawks won their home tournament for the second consecutive year.

This fall, Hannon played in four of Lehigh's five tournaments, with a 75.272 scoring average. Hannon was a first team All-Patriot League honoree last season.

The Mountain Hawks' win at the Lehigh Invitational concluded their fall season. Lehigh will open its spring schedule in February.
