Strong Final Round Lifts Mountain Hawks to Second Place at Quail Valley

LITTLESTOWN, Pa. – The Lehigh women's golf team enjoyed a strong finish to the Charge at Quail Valley Tuesday at Quail Valley Golf Club. The Mountain Hawks shot two over par 290, tying for the third-lowest round in program history to finish the 54-hole event at 891 (299-302-290). The 891 score is the second-lowest 54-hole total in program history.

All six Lehigh players finished in the top 20 individually, with the Mountain Hawks finishing second in the nine-team field. Lehigh finished just two strokes behind team champion Seton Hall.

First-year Lilly Riegger led the Mountain Hawks for the second straight tournament, using a final round one under par 71 to finish in second place at six over par 222 (79-72-71). Riegger made four birdies Tuesday and finished five strokes behind medalist Marta Agular of Seton Hall.

First-year Erin Mullin, Lehigh's top player on Monday, tied for third place at 223 (72-75-76). Mullin carded two birdies in her final round.

Sophomore Bridget Yu and first-year Valentina Hasan Curilovic both shot 227 to tie for 15th place. Yu shot 78-74-75 with four final-round birdies, while Hasan Curilovic shot 73-83-71 carding three birdies in her final round.

Juniors Reese Hannon and Alana Hall tied for 18th place at 230. Hannon shot 76-81-73 with two birdies. Hall, competing as an individual, shot 78-72-80 with one final-round birdie.

The Mountain Hawks will return to action at the Autumn Harvest, Sept. 28-29 in Lopatcong, N.J.
